Case CK788 Excavator Arrives Safely in Piraeus, Greece

Waiting to be collected on the Quayside in Greece is this recently supplied 2001 Case CK788 Tracked Excavator sold to local contractor Tsolis Panagiotis Earthwork Contractor.

SPK have for many years now supplied many different machines to both dealers along the old Athinion Avenue and to contractors all over the mainland and onto the Greek Islands - Keep an eye out for the blue SPK Supplied by stickers when visiting these Islands on holiday, its a little bit like becoming a Eddie Stobert spotter!!!!

SPK Supports Kennford Tug of War Team

After many years of retirement, Kennford Tug of War Team has been reformed and is back on the local circuits, their first pull was at Broadlcyst of 28th February.

Takeuchi TB53FR IN Norway

Henry Øye recently took delivery of this 2003 Takeuchi TB53FR Mini Excavator, once again, we were able to offer Henry the confort of speaking to many Norwegian Customers who had bought machines from us in the past and were very happy to give a recomendation, Now we want Henry to also join this long club of happy satisified customers.

Case 921C Heads off to Bosnia Quarry

We have just supplied a 2002 Case 921C To an Austrian Company who own and operate a Granite Quarry in Bosnia, at the request of Dejan Bukal the Quarry Owner a tight deadline was given from start of negotiations to delivery to the Quarry, as you can see from the photo the wheeled Loader was prepared to meet road width restrictions, throughout the different Countries on route and the delivery deadline was met with days to spare.

2008 JCB JS130 Working in Lapua, Finland

When Martti Suutala from Lapua, Finland approached us about the possible purchase of an excavator for his business in Finland, we were very pleased to be able to offer a very nice genuine 2008 JCB JS130, After suppling Martti with some recomendations from other Finish customers, an order was soon placed, the machine prepared, shipped and soon working cleaning ditches in a Forestry just outside Lapua.

We attended the Ritchie Bros Auction, Orlando, Florida, USA again this year from the 16th February - 21st February 2009 - It was nice to meet up with old friends, customers, suppliers and at this particular auction, we met with many new potentail customers, with whom we have already done some very good business with.

Charity Begins in Romania

We have recently supplied a unused 2007 New Holland L160 to work on the Farm at Caminul Felix Children's Home in Romania.

We were very honoured to have been trusted by the home to be their supplier of this important piece of machinery to such a worthy cause, we received these words after the machine had arrived in Romania.

Yet another happy Finnish Customer!

When Eero Kovero was looking to purchase a used Midi Excavator he was not too sure about looking to the UK because of a bad past experience, lucky for us that Eero took the time to contact us and we were able to convince him that not all dealers in the UK are the same.

Convinced by our Finish customer recommendations, Eero was able to purchase a 2006 Hitachi ZX80SBLC from us with total confidence. - These are Eero words, taken from his mail to us once he had collected his machine from the Port - 'Hitachi is safely at home and we liked what we got. I'll inform you better what we think about it, when have do some work with it. - There was three excavators on the same ship and I was happy not to collect those!

Reagg Quarry (SW) Ltd takes delivery of a Socomec Hydraulic Breaker

Reagg (SW) Ltd has just taken delivery of a 2005 Daewoo Solar 225LC-V Hydraulic Excavator fitted with a new Socomec MDS1300TS Hydraulic Breaker both units being supplied by ourselves in one deal, to operate in their recently aquired South Devon Quarry.

We are the South West of England sole dealer for Socomec hydraulic breakers and demolition shears/grabs.

JCB JS160L Gets to Work In Finland

When Valtteri Nuutinen from Kiuruvesi decided to buy his first excavator, we were pleased that he made contact with us, we were also vey pleased to learn that a past Finish customer, Unto Harmoinen, also of Kiuruvesi had given us a glowing recomendation and to use the customers own words 'Unto said that you are a very reliable salesman :) so i decided to take a contact to you!

RJS Construction Chooses SPK to Supply Another Machine

In 2005 Russel Soper of RJS Construction purchased from us a 2001 JCB 540-170 Loadall Telehandler, he then traded it in to us in November 2006 for a 2005 Manitou MT1740SLT and was very pleased with his price to change & the service given.

So when Russel decided it was time to purchase a 5 tonne Mini Excavator he had no hesitation in making his purchase from us, of a 2004 Takeuchi TB145, fully refurbished in our own workshop.

Russel also took this oportunity to purchase a new Socomec Hydraulic Breaker to work with the Takeuchi, having had excellent past experience with Socomec Hydraulic Breakers.

Nelson Plant growth, continues with a purchase of a 2001 Daewoo Solar 130LC-V Excavator from SPK Equipment Sales.

Managing Director Simon Nelson chose SPK from several other suppliers for his latest purchase which is seen here working near HMS Nelson in Portsmouth, What impressed me most about SPK, was their keeness to do a deal, we inspected the machine over a weekend which also suited me as I have very little spare time during the week this was a big advantage over many of their competitors.

Marsh Civil Engineering Purchases First Excavator

Marsh Engineering recently took delivery of this 2002 Volvo EC140BLC Excavator.

The first time owner Kevin Marsh actually saw the machine in the flesh was when it was delivered to his site in Nottingham.

He enquired about the machine after viewing photos before it had been prepared and then was confident to place an order after talking to us and viewing other machines that had been previously prepared, as shown on this news section.

L & J Bradford Expands Operation

Mid Devon Based L & J Bradford has just taken delivery of a used Fiat-Hitachi EX215LC excavator to carry out demolition duties in Devon, the unit was soon to be put to work on its first job working in the Devonport Dock yard in Plymouth.

Leo Bradford has a long association with Hitachi excavators, but this was the first time that Leo & Jeanette Bradford had decided to purchase a used unit, as they normally bought new, the unit was fully serviced & prepared in our workshop and we would like to thank L & J Bradford for choosing SPK Equipment Sales for this latest purchase....

Aquarius Chooses SPK for their Excavator Purchase

Aquarius Managing Director Bartosz Cwik from Poland, recently made a visit to the UK to search for a used excavator, we were pleased to welcome him to our location and to show him the high standard that we prepare our machines too.

Once making the visit, Bartosz ended his search & agreed the purchase of a 2002 Caterpillar 312CL-HD with 4500 hours, the machine was prepared in our workshop and is seen here ready for collection.....

Ainscough Metals from Wigan Chooses a Daewoo 420LC-V for Handling Duties

When Sam from Ainscough Metals of Wigan was looking to undate his excavator he decided it needed to be a 40 tonne class machine.

RTS Waste Management Purchases Daewoo Mega 400

RTS Ltd, a London based Waste & Recycling company recently took delivery of a 2002 Daewoo Mega 400 Wheeled Loader for their newly aqquired plant in Dartford, East London.

The machine has was fully serviced in our workshops before delivery and installation to site but was soon put to work working in a very dusty and demanding environment.

Well respected Exeter based plant hire company City Plant, recently took delivery of a 2004 Takeuchi TB145, to run along side smaller Takecuhi machines.

When Martin Turner form North Devon decided it was time that he bought his own excavator, he made the right choice and visited SPK.

Gary Cooper Buys His First JCB Excavator

When Gary Cooper was looking for a 16 tonne excavator his initial choice was to buy a used Hitachi, at the time we did not have in stock a used Hitachi but offered Gary a 1999 JCB JS160L, we fitted a hammer circuit, to meet Gary' requirements.

Gary's initial reponse to a JCB having always operated Hitachi's was a little unsure but after only a few weeks operation high above Torquay Marina, to use Gary's own words; "I'm impressed"

When Finnish owner/operator Janne Siuvo, was stopped from working because of a bucket ram failure, SPK were quick to react to give the customer full after-sales support.

Worldwide Web Machine Search, Found on Own Doorstep

When Dave Jackson of Support Services (SW) started to make a seach on the internet for a used JCB 3CX Sitemaster, he was suprised to find that www.spk-equip.com were listed on the first page of a Worldwide search and were in fact, located only 5 miles away from him.

After a quick call and a visit by Dave's son, Ian to inspect the machines, that were available a quick decision was made and work was soon on the way to service and prepare a JCB 3cx Sitemaster Turbo for delivery to Tavistock, Support Services (SW) JCB was fitted with a new pole lifter and rotater and rear jackleg mounted carrier frame, supplied new from Strimech Ltd.

Kennford Tarmac purchases JCB 3CX Contractor

Keith expands with purchase of JCB JS160LC

Honiton based Keith Retter has recently took delivery of his first tracked excavator, a JCB JS160LC, The machine supplied was well equipped with hammer pipe-work, hose burst check valves, hydraulic quick hitch and a set of buckets.

Keith put the JCB JS160LC to its first task by digging out a new site for a new shed on a local farm.

Podbury & Sons Chooses Komatsu and SPK

Brothers Noel & Gordon Podbury of Whimple Nr Exeter recently purchased a 13 tonne Komatsu PC130-6 excavator. This was to be their first excavator and they were obviously very cautious as to what machine and from whom they purchased it. They requested a third party inspection by local plant engineering company, having full confidence in the standard they we prepare our machine too, we were very happy to oblige with this request.

W.J.Toms - Returns to purchase an additional Machine

Wesley Toms bought his first JCB 3CX Sitemaster Turbo from Steve and had no hesitation in picking up the phone to call SPK when an additional machine was required.

We soon matched a machine to Wesley's requirement - a 1998 JCB 3CX Sitemaster Turbo with only 4500 hours worked.

Olli Kossila located on the East side of Finland has just taken delivery of his first Excavator, a 1999 Hitachi EX100-5 with 2800 hours bought from SPK.

Olli had never bought a machine outside of Finland before and obviously had some reservationas as to the safety of doing so.

Having a good reputation for the supply of used equipment in Finland, we were able to supply Olli with the names of several satisfied customers with whom he was able to speak to and satisfy his fears.
